Sustainability is built into the material
Coco coir is, by its very nature, a circular product. It is made from the husk of the coconut — a renewable by-product of an annual harvest that would otherwise be discarded. By turning that husk into a high-performance growing medium, we keep a natural resource in productive use and offer growers a credible, peat-free alternative.
For us, sustainability is more than the raw material. It runs through how we manufacture, how we treat the people and communities we work with, and how openly we govern our business — the three pillars of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) responsibility.
Environmental, social and governance
Three commitments that shape every decision — from the coast where the coconuts grow to the crops our substrates help nurture.
A naturally renewable material
- Made from coconut husk — a by-product that would otherwise be waste
- A peat-free alternative that helps protect carbon-rich peat bogs
- Low-waste processing: husk fibre and pith are both put to use
- High water-holding capacity helps growers irrigate more efficiently
People and communities first
- Fair wages and safe working conditions across our facilities
- Long-term livelihoods for rural coconut-growing communities
- Investment in local skills, training and on-site safety
- Lasting, collaborative partnerships built on mutual growth
Transparent and accountable
- Certified quality systems (ISO 9001) and documented processes
- Traceable sourcing and consistent, tested product batches
- Organic and horticultural certifications independently audited
- Honest communication on what we do — and where we can improve
From coconut husk to thriving crop
Every block, bag and slab begins as a coconut by-product. Choosing coir over mined peat helps protect peatlands, while coir's natural structure buffers water and air around the root zone — supporting strong yields with efficient irrigation.
- Peat-free and renewable
- Low-waste, resourceful processing
- Excellent water and air management
- Reusable across multiple growing cycles

Growth that lifts our communities
Our production facilities create stable, fair employment and channel value back to the rural communities where coconuts are grown. We invest in safe workplaces, training and long-term partnerships.
- Fair wages and safe working conditions
- Local livelihoods and skills development
- Long-term, collaborative supplier relationships
- Quality work that growers can rely on

Our commitments
Practical goals we hold ourselves to as we keep improving.
- Keep our growing media 100% peat-free
- Reduce water and energy intensity across processing year on year
- Expand low-waste use of every part of the coconut husk
- Strengthen fair-work standards throughout our supply chain
- Improve packaging recyclability and container-load efficiency
- Report progress openly to our customers and partners
